The Hudson Story
Hudson London started its journey back in 1990. Founded in tradition, our first menswear collection was produced in a small Italian factory in the le Marche region, fusing Hudson’s British design aesthetic with Italian craftsmanship.
Character and flair can’t be found in a formula. During the nineties we tried, tested and refined our collections, creating the iconic range that influences each style you see today.
Soon we outgrew our design studios and moved base to Shoreditch, where we still call home today. While we’ve grown organically, the company’s founders and earliest creative team are still at the heart of what we do.
Music has always been a key influence in our design. In 2003 we collaborated with Paul Weller on the Chrome collection, where the woven Hudson shoe was born.
Following the success of our Men’s range, we introduced the Hudson London Womenswear collection, which is now as popular as its counterpart. It was around this time that we also started to experiment with new washing techniques such as the iconic drum-dye.
As Hudson grew, so did the team. As well as moving to our current Hoxton Square office, we now were present in hundreds of stockists worldwide, in multiple countries.
We took a leap and launched our Hudson London Sneakers collection. It’s the next exciting step in our story – all that’s left is to write the next chapter.
